FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicles and can be used for movement of floating tanks, armored personnel carriers, IFVs, cross-country vehicles, amphibious vehicles, as well as various ships and submarines. Amphibious caterpillar comprises front and rear moving wheels, a caterpillar chain and blades built into it. On one side of every above mentioned moving wheel, in the lower part of the caterpillar, there is at least one extension guide. Every blade is connected with the caterpillar belt by means of a fixing element passing in its middle part and dividing it into front and back parts, and may rotate around the above specified fixing element. Built into the caterpillar belt there are locking elements limiting the angle of blades rotation. In the front and rear parts of the blades there are longitudinal slots, which are not arranged in line. Every slot is located at the same level with one of the extension guides.
EFFECT: there is achieved a possibility to move on ground, water, under water or being partially in water.
