FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: gas turbine unit housing accommodates at least one unit's component, for example fan, compressor, combustion chamber or turbine, and comprises basic component that has double wall. Said basic component comprises first inner cylinder and second outer cylinder arranged about lengthwise geometrical axis aligned, primarily, with that of gas turbine unit. Said cylinders overlap radially to make a clearance between outer surface of said first inner cylinder and inner surface of second outer cylinder. Aforesaid basic component with double wall incorporates a set of plate-like spacers spaced apart radially between aforesaid first inner and second outer cylinders to couple them together. Said cylinders can have circular cross section and be aligned. Aforesaid spacers can be arranged both in lengthwise direction and along circumference. Aforesaid basic component can be produced by welding modules arranged abreast along their circumference which feature I-beam shape, wide I-beam and/or T-beam. Said modules can be produced by extrusion.

EFFECT: higher rigidity and/or reduced weight.
