SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry and can be used in internal combustion engines running on solid fuel. Proposed method comprises feeding gaseous fuel into filter and, then into engine cylinder combustion chamber. In compliance with this invention, briquetted solid fuel is fed into exhaust manifold passage incorporating pyro chamber wherein solid fuel is subjected to contactless sublimation with exhaust gases with no access of air. Then gaseous fuel is filtered to be fed into cylinder combustion chamber.
