SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing nuclear fuel for power generation purposes. The method involves dissolving oxides, extracting uranium with 30% tributylphosphate in an organic diluent, washing the uranium extract with nitric acid solution, re-extracting uranium with a weakly acidic aqueous solution and processing the evaporated re-extract into oxides. The dissolving, extraction and washing processes are combined through simultaneous reaction of uranium oxides with tributylphosphate in a hydrocarbon diluent containing nitric aicd, and with aqueous nitric acid solution. The organic solution obtained from the reaction is taken for re-extraction.

EFFECT: optimisation of the process of purifying oxides of natural, regenerated or reusable (weapons-grade) uranium from impurities.
