FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmosurgery and can be used in correction of high myopia. Corneal surface is exposed to the two-staged successive excimer laser light of wavelength 193 nm. The energy density amplitude in a pulse symmetry point, pulse duration and repetition frequency remain unchanged all the time during operation. The 1st stage involves establishing a parametre of root-mean-square deviation of the energy density distribution within 1.8-2.0 mm and the diametre of an operative area not exceeding 6.0 mm. The first pulse train generates the first concave spherical surface with diametre being equal to that of the operative area with its centre matched with the corneal symmetry point. The 2nd stage immediately follows the 1st stage and involves establishing a parametre of root-mean-square deviation of the energy density distribution within 2.0-2.3 mm and the diametre of an operative area at least 7.0 mm. The second pulse train covers the operative area with forming the second concave spherical surface with its diametre being equal to that of the operative area with the centre matched with the corneal symmetry point.
EFFECT: reduced injures of eye tissue in correcting high myopia ensured by reduced volume of the eye tissues removed, reduced number of postoperative complications and lower probability of myopia regression.
