FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmosurgery. Cornea is exposed to exciplex laser light of wave length 193 nm, pulse duration 15 ns, pulse repetition frequency 5 to 10 Hz by consecutive layered ablation of corneal segments. Primarily, the first stage of operation involves the correction of no more than 80% of initial myopia by pulse radiation of staring exciplex Gaussian laser beam with parametres: root-mean-square deviation of energy density distribution within 2.3 mm to 1.8 mm, energy density amplitude in a pulse symmetry point within 180 mJ/sq. cm to 220 mJ/sq. cm, diametre of laser coverage 5 to 7 mm. 8-12 months the second stage follows that involves correction of the remained myopia by similar laser exposure with parametres: root-mean-square deviation of energy density distribution within 2.5 mm to 1.9 mm, energy density amplitude in a pulse symmetry point within 190 mJ/sq. cm to 230 mJ/sq. cm, diametre of laser coverage 5.1 to 8 mm.
EFFECT: method allows for higher clinical effectiveness, reduced traumatism, improved reliability, and reduced length of operation.
