FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes slotting of parts under conditions of rolling with a shaped ram, at the same time ram executes reciprocal cutting motion, and part - relative feed motion. Cutting is carried out at every stroke of ram reciprocal motion with identical speed in both directions in process of continuous feed of part. At the same time reverse ram is used. In order to reduce and diminish shaping motions, minimise cutting dynamics and increase efficiency, continuous combined feed motion is imparted to part, including simultaneous radial and circular feeds. At the same time they may use disk shaped ram, comprising working part with cutting blades of specified profile, having front and rear surfaces. Working part is arranged with the same blades on the opposite side, and rear surface - as common and symmetrical versus opposite cutting edges of blades. Common rear surface may be created with inclined flat faces or arranged as concave along curvilinear surface of the second order.
EFFECT: development of efficient method for parts slotting under conditions of rolling with a shaped ram.
