FIELD: tools.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises teeth making by gear shaping by rolling method with help of tool, which bypasses path controlled by lifting cam, on which following downward movement, used for tooth lateral side making and passing in workpiece axial direction, following is output motion, passing substantially in workpiece radial direction. At that, downward movement is imposed on output movement so, that at output curvilinear path is produced, that relative tool (200) front angle is not decreased below minimum front, which corresponds to tool (200) front angle, decreased at angle between workpiece (100) longitudinal axis and tool movement direction vector.
EFFECT: enabled elimination of tool output grooves and increasing its wear resistance.
