FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of machine building, namely to manufacturing of drilling string sections locks made of high-strength impact-resistant steel, which are used to connect sections into string, every of which has a central hole and consists of body and bush. Stock for each element of lock is first made of two parts by means of forging in the form of ring with account of allowances for thermal and mechanical treatment. Mechanical treatment of future welded joint edges is carried out by means of ends sharpening in according stocks with provision of alignment of one versus another and arrangement of welded seam root beyond the limits of finishing dimensions of body and bush. These parts are welded to produce according stocks of body and bush, which are then exposed to thermal treatment in the form of tempering. Rough and finishing mechanical treatment of body and bush stocks is carried out to required finishing dimensions with removal of welded seam root.
EFFECT: reduction of costs in realisation of stated method.
