A wear-resistant drill pipe for use in a well environment comprises a body of a drill pipe of a standard weight with at least one integral wear-resistant pad. The wear-resistant pad comprises a section of redistribution of a substrate material of the drill pipe body of a standard weight.
EFFECT: invention provides the drill pipe resistance to wear.
