SUBSTANCE: invention refers to protection of objects, namely documents, security papers, currency symbols or items against forgeries. Protection method of objects against forgeries consists in the fact that to the object there introduced or applied is a mark fluorescing under influence of outer radiation and which represents nanocrystal of diamond with active NE8-centre; at that, fraudulent check of the object with the above mark in the form of nanocrystal of diamond with active NE8-centre is performed as per recording of narrow peak of luminescence after irradiation of the above object with wide-band radiation source.

EFFECT: invention provides high protection against forgeries.
