FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary sector internal combustion engine comprises housing that doubles as a stator with cylindrical inner chamber. Rotor disk is fitted on the shaft running inside said housing. Aforesaid housing and rotor disk are divided into main and filling sectors. Main sectors are made up of filling sectors. Aforesaid sectors accommodate combustion chamber elements with inlet, outlet and blow-down channels and spark plugs. Rotor disk filling sectors have combustion chamber elements that, with rotor disk running in aforesaid housing, make sequentially sealed proportioning chambers with inlet channels and combustion chambers with spark plugs and outlet channels. Inlet, outlet and blow-off channels are opened and closed by revolving rotor disk. In operation, main sector involves primary combustion chambers formed in aforesaid filling sectors and secondary combustion chambers made up of adjacent filling sector elements. Extra spark plugs are arranged on aforesaid housing in both primary and secondary combustion chambers. Total amount of combustion chambers operating during one revolution of engine shaft equals the product of squared number of main sectors by the number of main sector primary combustion chambers and the number of main sector primary and secondary combustion chambers involved in one working stroke.
EFFECT: improved ecological characteristics.
