FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in both atmosphere and space at aerospace flight vehicles. Proposed jet engine comprises housing, nozzle with plug, combustion chamber accommodating heat-release element made from termite mix and ignition device. Working medium converts into superheated steam when heat-release element burns. Heat-release element represents a cylindrical hollow tube with variable-thickness walls. Heat-release element surface is coated by thin-wall high heat conductivity metal, from the nozzle to engine rear wall. Working medium accommodated inside combustion chamber represents liquid or solid material. Combustion chamber is divided by thin-wall sealing baffles into one or more compartments across heat-release element. Heat-resistant tube is arranged inside combustion chamber, aligned with heat-release element and having the length equal to that of aforesaid element.

EFFECT: improved ecology, higher safety and reliability.
