FIELD: weaponry and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: multistage anti-aircraft missile consists of booster rocket with rocket engine of solid fuel and of core with at least one rocket engine of solid fuel. Solid fuelled accelerators with solid fuel rocket engines are connected to the booster rocket parallel to its axis, while the rocket engine of the booster rocket is equipped with a telescopic nozzle head. It is preferred that each of aerodynamic flight controls will correspond to a number of solid fuel accelerators and each to be arranged opposite to a corresponding solid fuel accelerator. The solid fuel accelerators are designed to be undocked during flight, for example due to connection with a lower rocket stage by means of explosive bolts. The method of tactical employment of the said rocket consists in launching solid fuel accelerators and at least one rocket solid fuel engine of booster rocket, in successive undocking solid fuel accelerators and the rocket engine of the booster rocket and in start-up of the solid fuel rocket engine of the core; also upon undocking the solid fuel accelerators the head of the rocket engine of the booster rocket is telescoped.

EFFECT: improved technical characteristics of rocket.
