SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgical gastroenterology, ban be applied in treatment of ulcer disease of duodenum (D) with presence of circular D ulcer, complicated by penetration into head of pancreas. Resection of stomach with further closing of D stump is performed. Before resection of stomach, section of D serous-muscular layer on the border of penetration into pancreas is made in longitudinal direction. After that serous-muscular membrane of medial and posterior D walls is detached. Membrane is left on head of pancreas. D stump is closed by means of two semi-purse-string and serous-muscular sutures. Further, a Roux resection of stomach is performed.

EFFECT: method allows to simplify technique of D stump closing due to simplification of D isolation, prevents intraoperative and postoperative complications due to elimination of opening D lumen and injuring pancreas.
