FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: downhole plant contains a body, slide members mounted on the body and radially movable between a removed position and an advanced position by an advance piston, and a remote controlled retainer of the slide members in the removed position. And the retainer in its initial inactive position enables the members to move into the advanced position. While drilling, the operator can control the plant so that to retain the cutting members in the removed condition or to prevent the cutting members from advancing.
EFFECT: higher reliability of the device while in service.
