FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely to fluid absorbent articles, such as, e.g., as tampons. A tampon contains a cover made of an absorbing material with an attached string, a case arranged in the cover and representing a polymer perforated spiral tape. The case comprises adsorbent elements each of which comprises a flexible tube with two longitudinal fixation petals made of an absorbing net with a non-pressed hygroscopic material laid in its cavity. The fixation petals of the tube are passed between turns of the tape of the case and arranged from its external side.
EFFECT: invention provides enhanced properties of the tampon by ensuring stability of its shape and absorbability.
