SUBSTANCE: tampon with its inserted end and pulled end, and a thread for pulling out that extends from the pulled end. The tampon contains the fibrous adsorbing body of the tampon containing branched viscose fibres. Said body contains an internal core and an external adsorbing structure that surrounds the internal core and the internal core is more solid than the external adsorbing structure. The internal core is made of mixed fibres containing 0-25 wt % of branched viscose fibres, and the external adsorbing structure is made of mixed fibres containing 30-100 wt % of branched viscose fibres.
EFFECT: invention ensures sufficient hardness of the tampon without deterioration of its absorbing ability.
