FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elevator control systems. Proposed device comprises first system to control first group of elevators and second control system to control second group of elevators that can react to calls from the floors, and system of cross dispatcher control. The latter can receive call from the floors and assign each floor call to first or second system proceeding from the estimation of forecast response times for first and second groups of elevators. Method to control elevators operation during elevators updating period consists in receiving floor calls, data on cab state coming from first group of controllers that control operation of new elevators and data on cab state from second group of controllers that control operation of existing elevators. Then call from the floor is assigned to one group of elevators proceeding from the elevator cab state.
EFFECT: optimum operation during updating.
