FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry and specifically to new crown-containing bis-styryl dyes which can be used in optical chemosensors for metal cations, for monitoring the environment, in biological fluids etc. Described are crown-containing bis-styryl dyes of formula (I): in which D is a benzocrown-ether or phenylazacrown-ether fragment, B+ is a residue of formula , , where Q is a sulphur atom. Described also are methods of preparing the said dyes through quaternisation of hetarylphenylethylene or reacting a bis-quaternary salt of a bis-heterocyclic base with a formyl derivative of benzocrown-ether or phenylazacrown-ether. Described also are composite materials based on formula (I) compounds.
EFFECT: invention enables production of polymer film materials having optical chemosensory properties for presence of metal cations with large ionic radius and diammonium ions in aqueous solutions.
