FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves connection of measuring device to logging cable, lowering of measurement device to the well, transfer of measurement data via logging cable to ground equipment, output of data in the form of thermogram, detection of its deviation from standard geotherm and determination of location of behind-the-casing flow. Video picture of inner well surface is received at the same time. This picture is transmitted to ground equipment. Thermogram is compared with video picture, and if thermogram deviates from standard geotherm, video picture of inner well surface is analysed to find out the factors which can influence the radiometre readings. As per summary results, the report on available behind-the-casing flow is issued. By deviation value of thermogram from standard geotherm, the conclusion on the degree of corrosion wear of the well casing string can be given. Device includes radiometre consisting of housing, protection window, infrared radiation receiver, infrared radiation modulator, thermostat, electronic units and ground equipment. In addition, it is equipped with video camera, lighting unit, data processing unit and central processor, which are connected to each other.
EFFECT: improving accuracy of obtained results.
