FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: solid-propellant rocket engine includes housing, charge rigidly attached to housing, nozzle cluster and igniter with pyrocompound arranged in perforated housing. Pyrocompound is made in the form of pyroamplifier and pyrocartridges divided with a washer having a central connection strap in the form of a prism, two edges of which are directed towards pyroamplifier and conjugated at acute angle along the rib. Width of the third prism face opposite to conjugation rib is 0.2÷0.4 of pyrocartridge diametre. Inner diametre of washer is 2.1÷2.3 of pyrocartridge diametre. Pyroamplifier, washer and pyrocartridges are attached with a plug to central hole.
EFFECT: simultaneous ignition of the whole surface of charge, reducing the time required for design mode of rocket engine.
