FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in treating household and industrial waste water containing organic impurities on total biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) ranging from 50 to 50000 mg/dm3, suspended substances from 50 to 5000 mg/dm3. Apparatus consists of a fine mechanical purification device 2, a vertical-flow sand trap 3, a chamber 4 for mixing waste water and sludge, a circulation pump 18, between two and four combined biological purification devices 5, bioreactors 21 with an artificial load 27, 28 and circulation pumps 24, a device for treating used air 30 and a device for treating excess sludge 20. The combined biological purification devices 5 include a biofilter 6 with a flat load 7, a spray system 8, collecting trays 9 and effluent collectors 10 which are connected to air-stripping towers 11 buried in aeration zones 12. The mixing chamber is connected to combined boilogical purification devices 5 by a pipe carrying sludge 16 from aeration-clarification tanks 13. The pressure pipe 19 of the circulation pump 18 of the mixing chamber 4 is connected to the spray system 8 of biofilters 6. The length of discharge pipes with reflection discs of the spray system of biofilters at the beginning of the trays ranges from four to six times the diametre of the pipes, and from two to four times at the end of the trays. There are slide valves in the pipes for feeding the mixture of waste water and sludge into biofilter spray trays. There are gates at the beginning of the trays and current-guiding plates are mounted in front of the first discharge pipes.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency and stability of the apparatus, reduces the sanitary protection zone around the apparatus, enables recycling wastes to obtain granular fertiliser.
