FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: automatic batcher with an electromechanical drive for batching an article stored in the batcher includes an active sensitive infrared system for detecting a user. The sensitive infrared system includes at least one infrared radiator and at least one infrared receiver. The sensitive infrared system is made with possibility of scanning presence of a possible user at a defined scanning frequency. The sensitive control system provides the active infrared radiator(s) with a first current which is constant during one or more separate scanning cycles, and switches to a second current for further scanning. The first and second currents are determined from signal intensity of the received average infrared radiation which is received by an infrared receiver(s) during a certain number of previous separate scanning cycles. In the simplified system, the average the last received infrared radiation values can be compared with a standard value established in the control system for varying current supplied to the infrared radiator(s).
EFFECT: saving electrical energy.
