SUBSTANCE: intermittent-cycle air-jet engine includes quarter-wave gas resonator provided with possibility of functioning on ultrasonic frequency. Resonator is closed or in fact closed for gas flow in its pressure anti-node. Shape and dimensions of quarter-wave gas resonator determine at least partially the ultrasonic frequency on which the resonator operates.
EFFECT: increasing reactive force, improving aerodynamic efficiency, reducing weight and decreasing engine dimensions.
