FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: microwave signals are generated in a simulator with delay relative probing radar signals which corresponds to a target range and with carrier frequency shift by a Doppler shift value. The obtained signal is emitted with a pair of spaced apart antennae lying on the arc of a circle whose centre coincides with the radar antenna. Angular spacing of the pair of radiating antenna of the simulator is equal to double the width of the directional pattern of the monopulse radar. The maximum of the delayed microwave signal is set during calibration in an access window. The ratio of power radiated by the pair of antennae manipulated on the angular position is adjusted in accordance with current angular position of the target.
EFFECT: more accurate simulation of scene signals.
