RADAR TARGET SIMULATOR Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01S7/40

Abstract RU 2676469 C1

FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, in particular to radar, and can be used to configure the technical parameters of radar stations (RSs) at the manufacturer and check them during routine maintenance during the entire life cycle. It is most preferable to use it in simulators for helicopter and aircraft radio altimeters, airborne radar systems of various ranges, in which the time-frequency structures of the radar signal are used. Technical result is achieved by taking into account the mathematical model of the reflected radar signal, continuous monitoring of the characteristics of the probing signal, the choice of the most likely hypothesis about the structure (parameters) of the probing signal, the formation of simulation parameters, the physical implementation of the imitation of the time-frequency structure of the reflected signal, taking into account the features of the construction, operation and use of the RDs with the full technical embodiment of a realistic radar portrait of the target.

EFFECT: expansion of the capabilities of the supported types of signals, including pulsed ones, with the ability to simulate false targets, including those located closer to the radar carrier.
