FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: method for generation of time markers is based on generation of "n" pulse trains, repetition cycle of which τi (i=1, 2, …n), for each subsequent train reduces k (k - integer number) times, generation of each subsequent time marker Mj (j=1, 2, …m, m - number of time markers) on expiration of time interval Tj= pj1τ1 + pj2τ2 + … …+pjiτi +…+pjnτn). Where pjj is integer number, generation of digital signal in the form of sum of pulses in those trains, which identify time interval between neighboring time markers and generation of each subsequent time marker Mj in moments of time, when digital signal is equal to sum of digital signal values that corresponds to previous time marker and numbers pji, which identify current time interval. Device for generation of time markers comprises generator of time intervals (1), the first (3) and second (6) counters, digital comparator (4), programmable storage device (5), the first (7) and second (8) decoders and multiplexer (2).

EFFECT: simplified method and device for realisation due to reduction of transformed information volume.
