SWATH MAKER FOR CUCURBITS CROPS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A01D45/00 

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the agricultural machinery, particularly to the equipment for harvesting cucurbits crops. Swath maker comprises angular frame fixed on suspended system of tractor with sections of fruit-shifting working organs on it, made in form of skewed fruit moving planks and joined to road wheels, fitted behind planks. Fruit-shifting working organs in the form of guide planks slanted towards direction of motion are inclined backwards at the angle of 70…80°. Front working surface of guide planks has elastic coating with low friction coefficient relative to surface of fruit. The guide planks themselves are mounted on angular frame with the help of parallelogram hinges that rest on copying wheel and are fixed to parallelogram hinge with the help of joints. Right traction of hinge has spring shock-absorber. Behind guide planks stem-ripping rolls are fixed to angular frame with the help of leashes, having knives-grinders fixed on side surface of stem-ripping rolls along helical line.

EFFECT: reduced number of damaged fruits and possibility of making a swath of fruits without stems.
