FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to machine building and can be implemented at fabrication of multi-cored springs with specified characteristics. The procedure consists in twisting a rope out of wire and in winding it on a mandrel. Twisting and winding are performed in one operation at simultaneous wire coiling and stretching, cutting a coiled spring at specified length, welding ends of wire, heat-treatment of the spring, spring hardening by ageing in compressed condition, measuring geometric and spring pressure parametres and applying protective coating. Before twisting a rope wire is heated to temperature of hardening; immediately after rope twisting and winding it on the mandrel wound heated spring is cooled on the mandrel and is tempered, if necessary.
EFFECT: upgraded cyclic durability of springs facilitating accurate and stable spring rate for long service life.
