SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. Methods for improving reliability of transmitting service signals are described. A transmitter determines whether improved reliability for service signals for a data frame is applicable. The transmitter sends service signals without improved reliability if improved reliability is considered inapplicable and with improved reliability if otherwise. A receiver receives service signals and declares service signals reliable or unreliable based on quality of the received signal of the received frame and threshold. The receiver restores service signals if they are considered reliable and decodes the received frame in accordance with the restored service signals. The receiver declares the received frame a zero frame or carries out some other action if the service signal is considered unreliable.

EFFECT: reliable transmission of service signals.
