The liquid carrier is a fatty acid ester R'-COOR in which R' is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic group containing 9-20 carbon atoms and R is an alkyl containing 1-8 carbon atoms. Paint, ink, plastic and a cosmetic composition containing the obtained metallic pigment composition are disclosed.
