SUBSTANCE: to produce coated perlite flakes, firstly, a tin oxide layer is applied on the perlite flakes. Then, a titanium dioxide layer is applied on perlite flakes with tin oxide coating. After this, an iron oxide layer is applied to the perlite flakes with titanium dioxide and tin oxide coating.
EFFECT: invention provides for prodcution of pigment particles with high gloss effect without iron oxide peeling of the coating top layer of the said particles.
