FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for primary reduction of nitrogen oxide (NOx) and simultaneous prevention of formation of nitrous oxide (N2O) and fall of ammonia (NH3) into the exhaust gas during two-step combustion, and quality of slag is improved using a combustion zone in a solid layer while passing oxygen-containing primary gas through it over a hot bed and an exhaust gas post-combustion zone behind it, into which oxygen-containing secondary gas is additionally fed. Combustion heat of the exhaust gas on the section between the surface of the hot bed and the exhaust gas post-combustion zone is reduced such that the average combustion heat is less than 1 MJ/m3 and temperature on the surface of the hot bed when the exhaust gas comes out of its post-combustion zone is not lower than 950°C and temperature of the gas over the hot bed on the section of the rear half of the grating is over 1000°C.
EFFECT: design of a simple and reliable controlled method of reducing primary formation of nitrogen oxide in industrial furnaces without formation of additional harmful substances and only insignificant deterioration of energy use of enthalpy of gaseous combustion products.
