FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to make dental care agents. An alkali metal silicate is mixed with an acidifying agent in an amount sufficient for formation of a composition which contains silica gel particles. The obtained composition is not washed or cleaned. An alkali metal silicate and an acidifying agent are then added to the obtained composition in amounts sufficient for formation of a silica precipitate, resulting in formation of an abrasive gel/precipitate combination. Radioactive dentin abrasion (RDA) of the said combination can be equal to 95-150, 180-240, with pellicle cleaning ratio (PCR) equal to 90-160 or 20-80 with PRC between 50 and 80. The obtained abrasive silica gel/precipitate combination is used in making dental care agents.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain materials with good cleaning properties with respect to tooth pellicle and lower radioactive dentin abrasion values.
