FIELD: textile industry.

SUBSTANCE: drum for washing machines is intended for high-speed wringing of wet linen and has lining passing along drum circumference as bent of thin-walled material sheet in the form of cylinder or truncated cone so that end sections of strip are combined in seam. The first end section has plank that continues with common bending of drum lining and is applied onto plank of the second end section at outer side of drum. Plank of the first end section is bent maximum by thickness of material strip wall outside, and/or plank of the second end section bends maximum by thickness of material strip wall inside. Planks of end sections are rigidly connected to each other. At inner side drum linings applied over each other are closed by grip.

EFFECT: production of connection seam for washing machine drum, which should withstand tensile forces in lining, which occur in process of high-speed drum rotation (more than 1500 rpm), besides realisation of such connection seam may be achieved without high costs.
