SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a drum (1) suitable for use in machines for washing or washing-drying the laundry, comprising a cylindrical housing (2), two round lids (3, 103) which are mounted on the front and the rear sides of the housing (2), two circular seams (4) which are obtained by bending circumferentially and bending outwardly of the edges of the housing (2) and lids (3, 103) connected with overlapping, and two peripheral connecting lines (5) which are arranged on the inner area surrounded by the housing (2) and the lids (3, 103), behind the seam (4), and which are formed by the circumferential narrow gap (G) between the edges of the housing (2) and the lids (3, 103) bent outwardly.
