SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sawmilling industry. Proposed method comprises creating initial stress in sawing zone nearby crack end. Saw section with radius of 2 to 5 mm with center at the saw end is heated to 350-550 °C and kept at this temperature for 20 to 50 s and cooled down to ambient temperature.

EFFECT: higher reliability of saw web.
