FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for additional production-engineering processes on wood processing plants. Wood material is fed into the storage bin of the loading mechanism 1. Using a slanting auger conveyor 16, wood material is fed through an additional storage bin with a tamping auger into the top converter-chamber 9 of the reactor 4, where the material undergoes thermal treatment with formation of pyrolysis gases and carbonated charcoal. Using a horizontal bar-scrapper conveyor 11 of the converter-chamber 9, the material is moved with simultaneous mixing and is fed into converter-chamber 10 through unloading mechanism 13. The carbonated wood semi-finished product is activated in the converter-chamber 10.
EFFECT: invention increases output of the apparatus due to continuous pyrolysis and activation processes with simplification of the design of the apparatus.
