FIELD: forest chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the forest chemical industry, namely to a modular pyrolysis plant for processing wood and its waste by pyrolysis to produce charcoal. A modular pyrolysis plant for producing charcoal contains an automated control system, a heat generator communicating with a system of flues with at least two external retorts located at a distance from each other and smoke pumps located at the outlet of the installation. Retorts are configured for installation of baths with feedstock in them. The flue system provides separate supply of coolant from the heat generator to each retort, and it is possible to independently control the supply of coolant to each retort and the intensity of their heating.
EFFECT: improvement of the productivity, environmental safety and service life of the installation; automation and mechanization of the process; it enables independent control of the parameters of the technological process in each retort; it ensures the continuity of the process; reduces the time of the process cycle of wood heating and pyrolysis; improves the quality of the resulting charcoal.
