FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: labyrinth seal includes sealing ring of rectangular section from construction polymer material, which is fixed against radial displacement on one of the parts of rotation pair - shaft or housing and the end surfaces of which are installed along sliding fit to radial groove of rectangular section of the other part of the rotation pair. Radial groove has depth t=2÷2.2 s, where s - ring thickness.
EFFECT: higher tightness of seal.
