FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: both generator and method are intended for producing airflow with preset parametres for bench tests and can be used for heating fluid media, for example in air tunnels. Generator comprises combustion chamber and fuel and oxidiser feed system that includes air, oxygen and fuel feed lines, chamber to mix air with oxygen and combustion chamber mixing head. Mixing head consists of a set of channels and nozzles communicated therewith. Combustion chamber comprises outer case and fire tube accommodated therein to form a duct. Mixing chamber has outer manifold communicated with oxygen feed main line and hollow pylons arranged inside it. Mixing head comprises two "П"-shaped half-rings and disk-like bottom jointed thereto. Bottom has outer groove communicated with fuel feed main line and channels. Intersected fuel channels are arranged along and across aforesaid chamber. Fuel nozzles are communicated with said channels, at their intersection, and are arranged in staggered manner.

EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions, better ecology.
