FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: every virtual antenna can be displayed on several or on all physical antennas with the help of various images. Efficiency of various combinations of at least one virtual antenna is estimated using one or more such parameters as signal quality, transmission capacity, total rate etc. Combination of virtual antennas with higher efficiency is selected to use. If virtual antennas are selected by receiving device then the data on channel state for selected combination of said antennas can be transmitted to transmitting device. Data on channel state can transfer information on selected virtual antenna (antennas), signal quality or rate (rates), one or more matrixes of pre-encoding used to form selected virtual antenna (antennas), and so on. Transmitting and/or receiving device can use selected virtual antenna (antennas) for data transmission.

EFFECT: efficient use of transmission power available for transmitting antennas.
