FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method adding additives into a molten polymer. The invention describes a method of purifying a polymer of a polymer mixture into which primarily a desorption agent in molten state and under pressure is fed, finely distributed into the molten mass and removed under a vacuum in a degassing chamber. Other volatile materials, particularly mono-, di- and/or trimers which are contained after obtaining the polymer or polymer mixture are also stripped. The method is distinguished by that the desorption agent added to the molten mass is mixed with one or more additives, and the polymer or polymer mixture is a thermoplastic resin with polystyrene as the basic component.
EFFECT: design of a cheap and highly efficient method of adding additives to molten polymers.
