FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: direct current generator includes stator with poles on which there arranged are excitation windings, armature with armature winding, which is fixed on generator shaft connected to shaft of drive motor connected to alternating voltage source, contact device made in the form of two conducting solid contact rings on which current-collecting sliding brushes are installed. At that, the beginning of armature winding is connected to one contact ring, and the end - to the other one; excitation windings are connected to alternating voltage source, and synchronous motor is used as drive electric motor.
EFFECT: improving reliability of DC generator, increasing its output voltage.
