FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for filtration of oil products. Filtering element comprises external perforated shell, inner perforated drain tube and end covers. Between external shell and inner drain tube there is a filtering corrugated curtain. Corrugations have curvilinear bend in plane perpendicular to axis of filtering element. Value of gap between corrugations is more or equal to value of corrugations pitch. Ends of filtering curtain are turned relative to each other, creating a curvilinear bend of corrugations relative to longitudinal axis of filtering element. To eliminate sticking of corrugations, narrow corrugated tapes of porous material round filtering curtain on both ends and in the centre. At the ends of tape inner and outer sides of filtering curtain are rounded, and in the centre - its inner side.

EFFECT: increased area of filtering curtain, increased extent of filtering curtain surface application, improved resource of operation.
