FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for reduction of electrode metal and welding bath sputtering in process of electric arc welding by consumable electrode with short circuits of arc gap. Device comprises current sensor and the following components arranged with the possibility of connection parallel to welding arc - semiconducting key (1), key control circuit (2) and voltage sensor (3). Voltage sensor (3) is arranged with the possibility to identify moment of start and end of short circuit and to supply signal to circuit of key control (2). Current sensor (4) is arranged with the possibility to identify moment of rupture of liquid link of electrode metal and to supply signal to circuit of key control (2).

EFFECT: reduced mass and dimensional characteristics of device and improvement of efficiency factor, expansion and improvement of technological properties of electric arc welding of metals.
