FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building and can be used in ship stern gears incorporating plain bearings arranged horizontally. Stern gear incorporates plain bearing with crescent lateral channels and shaft mounting inside stern gear. Said crescent channels are inclined to bearing lengthwise axis at the angle that allow work load area on bearing rear end within angle making at least 90°. Besides lateral crescent channels can have crescent channels at upper and lower parts.
EFFECT: higher reliability in extreme conditions.
