FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to subsonic and supersonic winged flight vehicles. Proposed method consists in equipping manned winged flight vehicle with one or more rotors. Rotors are arranged in rotor compartments that have their inlet openings closed by sliding flaps. Said rotor compartments are arranged in airframe lengthwise space or lengthwise space of cigar-like or airframe-like nacelles. Said nacelles are secured to flight vehicle wing or horizontal or vertical tail ribs. Said sliding flaps opened, rotors are lifted into operating position. Rotors are driven by autorotation or with the help of jet drive, for example boosters (afterburner engines) running on solid propellants, or by mechanical drive from gas turbine engine, for example turbo-shaft engines. Lifting and propulsion forces of rotors are controlled with the help of swash plates. Rotor speed of rotation is reduced by simple braking systems. Rotor blades are oriented by simple catching retainers, folded and moved into rotor compartments.
EFFECT: expanded performances.
