FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: facility consists of pipe string and shearing tool. The shearing tool is installed on the pipe string through a reducing pipe and consists of a case with connecting thread and of a cutting part. The cutting part of the tool can have slots; hard-alloy plates can be made coaxial with the case or offset relative to the case. Openings are made in the case of the shearing tool and in the reducing pipe.
EFFECT: raised reliability of plug shearing operation, more effective shearing and prevention of tool wedging.
